10/23/26: The abandoned maiden. Two years ago I worked on this doll but gave up on it, since not all ideas end up working out.
A partial game is available on Patreon with what I had made for the face, hair, top and skirt (but incomplete with no accessories or backgrounds).

10/9/26: Color test for combinations of hair color, eye color, skin tone and lip color to make sure they work together.

Sharing Art: I'll be posting exercises I do to improve at drawing in the Disney style (and others as well, it depends), so these updates will be more random than strictly posting about games. I can also share drawing tips based on inspiration or questions you may have.

9/30/26: New doll base. This girl is a "maiden" basically, with long hair, long skirt, corset and puffy sleeves, like Ariel and Aurora in their peasant dress as opposed to their ball gown (I've tackled this type of outfit in previous games already, but it's a personal favorite). The idea is: what if we were creating a new character in this vein, like when Disney artists designed Giselle; what could she look like, what would be the possibilities for her face, hair, dress etc? The next step in building the game will be to brainstorm each section one by one!

9/28/26: Coming soon! I will be launching a Patreon for AzaleasDolls. There I will share a behind the scenes, more in-depth view of creating new games. I will also ask patrons for their input on the content of new games as they're created!

9/25/26: More figure drawing, things from my sketchbook that I imported into Photoshop. I feel ready to start a new doll and am looking for a pose and character idea at this point :) More on this topic next week as well as an announcement for the website!

9/24/26: Drawing a lot of poses from imagination, not for the new game yet, but to get in the swing of figure drawing without reference. It's weird, at first I feel really stuck like I forgot how to construct the figure on my own but also don't know what random pose to practice with. So I force myself to do it and after a while it feels more natural, both how to draw, and what to draw.

9/23/26: I tried out this flour sack exercise, where you draw a sack like it's a little character. It evokes a small rounded animal but also a human torso, because of how it can twist and bend, and has similar attitudes if proud, happy etc. First I drew some from reference then tried to come up with new ones.

9/22/26: Figure drawing exercise. I found the references on Google but they are from a book called "The Study of Pose" by a fashion model, Coco Rocha, who did 1000 poses.
